This compendium of the on-going R&D activities covers the 21 Research Establishments under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology. The R&D activities in these establishments were compiled through collection and collation of relevant data from all the Research Institutions by the staff of the Ministry. The Officers were sent out to all the Establishments for data collation.
This compendium is expected to server as a primary resource data base on all the R&D activities by the Parastatals under the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is expected to provide a base for consultation and complementation of research activities among not only Researchers in the Research Institutions but also with other Researchers in the country.
More importantly, the compendium is expected to provide useful information to industries and other stakeholders to facilitate more effective collaboration and utilization of research results. The compendium will more importantly, enable the Ministry to rationalize R & D activities in its parastatals with a view to avoid unnecessary duplication and waste of resources. This documents will also be used as monitoring and ecaluation tool of the Ministry. |
